Iam thinking about getting an RMR for a pistol. I was thinking of going with the triangle ,has anyone tried this ? Any input?

I've got one on my MP5 clone and really like it.

Never tried it on a pistol though

For a carry gun, the RMR 06 (3.25moa dot with manual adjustment) seems the be the one that those who've been using red dots on fighting guns are using and recommending. I found a good deal on one and it's now now being installed on my M&P at L&M Precision right now. Once it's back in my hands and I've got something to say, I'll make sure to do so.

I run an RMR RM07 on my M&P and find it is the right balance of speed and size for a combat pistol. RM06 IMO is just too small for combat/duty use.

I think the triangle would be better for vision.  The triangle doesn't cover up the target like the dot does but other then that both are great.

RMR-06 for me.  It's perfect for any indoor or outdoor situation, including night vision.

I tried out an RM08A on a 5.7 pistol and found it hard to line up the the sight in order to see the dot with anything resembling speed. I guess its a training thing.
