So im looking to put a scope on my SigM400E.  I dont know a whole lot about scopes, so im not looking for a 700.00 top of the line system.

I just need some fairly inexpensive ideas for a starter scope.  Ive seen plenty on ebay, ranging from 89.00 to 159.00

some that ive seen...

Vortex StrikeFire Red Dot Scope
Aim Sports 4X32 Dual III. Scope with Fiber Optic Sight
UTG 30mm SWAT 3-12X44 Compact IE Scope with AO Mil-dot
Bushnell AR Optics Zombie Assault 1x MP Red/Green T-Dot Reticle Riflescope

Thanks for the help :)

The strikefire's are decent, I would skip the others that you listed.

If your looking for a budget red dot I like the Bushnell TRS-25 pretty well.

My preference is for the 1.5-6X Burris MTACs on a general purpose AR.  They cost about $400.

Yeah, they're not bad.  I've got a strikefire and the TRS-25.  i like the TRS-25 a little better because its smaller, lighter weight and costs less.

I would mark out the Aim Sport (seen a lot of people use them and be disappointed) and for sure mark out the UTG (trust me.)

The Strikefire isn't a bad option and I havent used or seen the exact Bushnell model you mentioned, but some review seem positive.

Check out Primary Arms as well. They have some options in that price range.

A few I have used and would recommend

Bushnell TRS25, AR optics 3-12 (keep in mind it is a heavy scope)
Lucid HD7
Primary Arms makes great budget red dots and scopes, the 1-6 scope is a bit more money but is very versatile and capable.

+1 on the Lucid HD7.  $189 shipped most vendors.  Less with coupons.  Amazing.

Also consider its little brother, the Lucid M7 4.7 ounce microdot.  All the same advanced features, but only one reticle (but it is the best one -- the EOTech like donut dot).  Same price.  The microdot will need a cheap one inch riser.
