| Hey I got an Aimpoint Pro for Christmas and would like to know how to zero it in. I have already installed it on my Colt LE6920. This is my first optic and I would like to know what the best way to zero it in is. Thanks. |
| I used some match ammo to do mine. My thinking was they red dot is already 2moa and if I added some surplus or non match stuff in there, on top of some human error, I could be all over the place. At least with the match I could do some 4 or 5 shot groups and get pretty close to centering it. Probably wasn't needed but I think I saved some time. |
| Mine wasn't even on paper at 25 meters when I first mounted it. I found nice sized stick and laid it on a bare spot of the berm at about 20 yards so I could see where the impacts were. Took a few rounds and about 20 or so clicks of right windage and about 12 clicks of lower elevation to hit that stick. Then just a few more rounds to get a 25 meter zero on paper. A few more clicks at 100 meters and it's more dead-on than I can usually be. |

One click up, two clicks left...but the PRO wasn't even close. I put 6 rounds down range...and not one hit the paper. I then adjusted it to the iron sights and that got me to within a couple of clicks in both directions to zero. |
