| I'm building my first AR and I need advice about what rear iron sight to get for it. It's a 16inch barreled middy with a A2 front sight. I would be target shooting with it, and building this as a shtf rifle. Also I want it to be flip up. So what's some good values out there, keeping durability, stability, and price in mind? I apreciate any advice! |

Quoted: KAC says they have never sold them to the public, but I haven't heard any reports of the USMC looking for them either. Quoted: Quoted: Quoted: The $35.00 Knights Armament 200m 600m BUIS found on Ebay. Are they hot? KAC says they have never sold them to the public, but I haven't heard any reports of the USMC looking for them either. Go Herd. |

I'm guessing its a scenario very similar to this one. http://www.ar15.com/forums/t_3_18/624557_Law_guns_used_optics_thread.html&page=1 |

Hell, they could demill receivers and sell everything else to us. I see no reason why the BUIS' or optics can't find their way to the surplus market. |

The $35.00 Knights Armament 200m 600m BUIS found on Ebay. Impossible to beat. I may or may not have one on order already. I was going to get another MBUS, but I hate how wide and huge they are so I searched for an alternative. |

I've been looking at the pictures of these and I can't figure out how they are 200m 600m. They only have one sight aperture! Can anyone explain? Quoted:

Can anyone explain? The rear site rotates without peep site spinning. This lowers/raises it to adjust for elevation. There is a mark you zero it at then there are marks from 200-600m. They are not exact but should get you really close with different ammo and barrel lengths. |

don't know what you guys are talking about, I only saw them for 40 this morning. People must be catching on because the price on the ebay ones is rising as we speak. Fount a thread on the web about the USMC KAC sights on ebay for cheap, around the same time last year. Is there a reason every these make their way to the market every Oct. / Nov.?
Not to hijack, don't want to spend an arm and leg on front sight post. MBUS pro will match profile of KAC and has adjustable elevation. Will it line up with the KAC rear? |

Any standard height front sight will work fine. I think the MBUS pro would be a pretty good match for the KAC rear. |
| My understanding is that they are authentic KAC sights that were made exclusively for the USMC. This topic had been beat to death hear and everywhere else. Being that they were never made available to the civilian market, the consensus is that they are stolen government property. I found this out after purchasing them. |

The $35.00 Knights Armament 200m 600m BUIS found on Ebay. Alright I bought a KAC micro on ebay today, $37 total, USMC surplus but apparently never issued! Thanks everyone for the input, I feel that I made a great buy, seeing as these go for $150-$200 on other sites, and because of their great reputation. These forums have been really helpful, can't wait until I finally have a complete rifle to show off. |
