Just want to find out if others had similar experience. Bought it new. I've had it mounted on a bushmaster carbine (xm15) w/ free float barrel for one month. That's with the riser and QD mount. it came assembled that way with flip covers as well.  Shot 200 or so rounds and I like the sight. It took over one hundred clicks up to zero it at 100 yds. Right out of the box at 15 yds. it was 6" low and 3" to the left. Also it kind of looks like two dots not really one distinct.

Mine works fine... took about 20+ up and 15 right.. was on paper at 100 yards though.

Use the dot at the lowest setting you can clearly see the dot. Going to the brightest settings would probably give you that double dot you are experiencing from reflections. Are you looking straight in, or from an angle?

As a matter of fact mine was low and left out of the box as well.. Maybe 8" low and 4" left at 25m. However it has performed just like every other aim point I've owned and used (no double or distorted dots). How old is your eyeglass Rx if you have one?

Double dots or "star" or blobs may be an indication of an astigmatism.  You'll find that once you focus on the TARGET with both eyes open instead of focusing on the dot, it will become a crisp dot super imposed over the target.

Yea, both eyes open is better and the lower setting as well. This is a great sight no doubt. I was just concerned that with all that cranking I must be doing something wrong.

Nope, mine took ~ 20 - 25 clicks to right and ~ 15 clicks up to get zeroed at 25 yards. Shoot with it, you'll love it.

100 clicks at 100 yds would be 50 inches low . it does seem a bit excessive but  all rails and mounts are bound to have a bit of difference when machined , thats why they have adjustments. your aimpoint is fine shoot at will.

Who was that guy that just took off running?

That was Will.

I have faint astigmatism, it seems to bother me less with a holographic sight, like the EOTech.

You like dozens of tiny blooms rather than big one eh

I'm in the same boat- but in any kind of daylight the bloom washes away and I still get a bright round dot with either optic.

Just a continuation of this thread. Once zeroed, if I decide to move the sight rearward on the rail, could I expect the POI to be higher than before?
