On my SWFA 1-6x24 scope I noticed that when turning the windage and elevation adjustment knobs counterclockwise, the hash marks don't quite line up. They do line up when I turn the knobs clockwise. I could just turn the knobs one click farther than I want when going counterclockwise, then turn them back one click. I'm guessing it's just an issue of backlash, but my Nightforce certainly doesn't do this.

I contacted SWFA and the customer service rep didn't have much to say about the issue (he wasn't a technician), but said that I could send it in for repairs or replacement. But I'm not really sure whether or not this is a serious problem or if it's just characteristic of these particular scopes. Should I bother sending it in or not?

Splined turrets on any scope can have this issue (if you want to call it that). Just dial one more tenth of a mil and reset the turret back to zero. Then it should line up perfectly. I have a couple of scopes that I have done this for. I prefer to dial .1 up but it doesn't really matter.
