I just got a SS 3-15x42 mil-mil scope and the side focus appears to be in meters. But when using the Mildot Master - it measures the height of the target in mils, which equates the didtance to the target in yards, and the right side will indicate bullet drop in inches. And if I know my bullet drop at various distances, I can compensate for the drop as indicated.

But if I have for example, a bullet drop that equates to one mil - is one mil holdover using the reticle (FFP) the same as turning the turret one full mil? I getting confused with the old bullet drop and MOA adjustment that equates to 100 yards - I'm assuming the Mildot Master is solving all of that for me? Thanks.

Yes, using a one mil holdover is the same as applying the 1 mil of data on the elevation.

Calculate your bullet drop tables in mils instead on inches and you'll make your life easier.
