Good Lord I ordered an Aimpoint PRO from these guys on April 17 2013 and every time I contact them I get a different date on when They will get stock.
Has anyone else Had an Issue recently with Optics planet?

Has anyone else Had an Issue recently with Optics planet? What you describe is not an issue with Optics Planet, they can't really control when they will receive your optic from aimpoint. The Pros are constantly in the EE and trader forums on most gun websites, there is LNIB one listed now for $360 on this site. |

Same issue here. While I understand it is out of there control, they shouldn't give me a date then when I call it is out another 3 weeks!
I talked to someone last week and he told me that 100 were coming in and mine would ship out on the 10th of June. I called today and now they are telling me July 1st. Fuck them! I will never order from them again! |

| thank you guys! I just cancelled the order. I see that there are a lot available else where but I have one issue, I will pay for it using bill me later through paypal.. I found a few brand new through ebay for around $408 with free shipping and 4 day delivery. What do you guys suggest? |

| I wouldn't hesitate to order a top-tier optic on eBay. Just use a high-volume stateside seller who has a bulletproof return policy. Also, pay with something that further protects you in the event something goes wrong. I picked up a brand new Trijicon TRS24G last month for $700 and it arrived in two days. Just sayin'... |

Hi Fedele, I'm sorry about your order! We've only been able to provide ETA's that we've been getting from Aimpoint. It looks like they're having a hard time keeping up with demand, but we're working with them to get more stock as soon as possible. Just a word of warning though, its just a simple red dot that is pretty heavy and bulky, there is a reason so many are in trader section. There are other cheap micro red dots (like the $70ish Bushnell TRS-25) that are extremely reliable and while they don't have aimpoint batter life, they still good for 5000+ hours. Some of the 1-4x scopes are similar in weight and actually cheaper, in addition to BDCs, magnification, the reticules are etched so they will even function with a battery or electronics failure. |

PSA has a couple options right now for them
AP PRO w/3 D&H mags or AP PRO w/60rds XM193J around $416 shipped either option And to answer question in OP...I just ordered a Vortex optic from OpticsPlanet on the 12th and it will be delivered on the 18th. Not the same you ordered, and not delivered yet. But so far, so good. |

I suspect that they don't know that they're not going to be able to get something until their supplier tells them that they don't have it when Optics Planet puts in their order for your item. That's the only thing that I can think of that explains why they have no idea what their "inventory" is.... because they have no inventory. Just a SWAG based on the many similar posts I've seen (and which I experienced first-hand years ago). |

With the communications and accounting tools available today there is little excuse for such crappy inventory management. We aren't talking about a mom and pop business here. Yeah, well I wanted to use optics planet and bill me later because of the pricing it was 373. 00 shipped. I financed It because I wanted to go ahead and get a good optic with out owning myself financially, I just recently started Grad school and covered tuition out of pocket, so I did not really have a whole lot of extra to play with. I am 25 doing the best I can on my own and I would say I am a lot better off than some of the older people that tend to criticize. Oh I also have a GTO that needs Camshafts, heads and underdrive pullies, so I am all over the place  .
I did order my Aimpoint PRO off of ebay the other day and received it in 2 days. The seller had good feedback and from the look of the optic, serial numbers etc I think its safe to say that mines is real. But thanks to all the guys in the Thread who offered me good advice and similar deals on the PRO |

| I ordered mine from Sport Optics and picked it up since they were only 45 mins away from me. I met the owner and he seems to run a great business. Everything ordered 'in stock' before 2pm central ships the same day. He has the PRO for $395.60 and free shipping!! |
