So I am new to the AR world and even more new to optics and looking for my first red dot.  My AR is a SHTF gun so a larger MOA would give me quicker target acquisition, but I would assume(and hope)it will only ever be fired in the comfort of a range so a smaller dot would theoretically give me better targets.  In anyone's personal experience is there a significant difference between a 3 MOA v 5 MOA dot for either target acquisition or increased accuracy?

2moa is 2 inches at 100 yds 1 inch at 50.  These things are adjustable for brightness intensity you do not need a larget dot than 2moa.

I have only ever used Irons sights and a 2moa Aimpoint Micro which I have had great success out to 300 yards with.

There is no difference ins accuracy or speed imo, but the difference is how much dot covers to target.

2 MOA or 4 MOA for me.  Doesn't matter much.

The larger dot is easier for me to acquire but the 1 or 2 MOA is definitely better when zeroing and at distance. Best thing would be to try both and see. Like said the EoTech ring gives you the best of both.
