Looking for advice on optics. I have 2 different rifles coming within the next 2 weeks and I'd like to do a different setup for each.
First is a DDM4 V5 in .223, the second is a 2 Vets Arms .300 Blackout with the side charging handle.

Some of the options I'm considering are an Aimpoint Pro, Burris AR-332 or AR-536 or a combo like a Nikon P223 or Burris Timberline with a mount and 1X 4MOA red-dot for CQB. As much as I'd love an ACOG, budget won't allow that much for one rifle.

Long term, here what I see the uses as. I'm going to setup a NFA trust and go suppressed on the .300 BLK so I see that as my SHTF CQB weapon and use the DDM4 for more of the 100-400 yds stuff. At some point I'll probably get a .308 for the outside 400 yds shots.

I'm thinking I don't really need to have anything with magnification on the .300 BLK so maybe just a Aimpoint Pro and MBUS makes sense for that and have the combo setup for the DDM4 so it's setup for short and long distance.

Thanks in advance for any insight on the best route or other options I'm not considering but I should be.

If you really want the ACOG, you could get it on a good QD mount and switch it between rifles.  Keep the torque consistent and keep a log of the zero adjustment that needs to be made when you switch and you'd be OK.

That said, I think the Aimpoint (or an Eotech XPS/EXPS) makes more sense for a CQB SHTF rifle.

For me and my eyes it is Acog out to 200 yards or so, over that I want a scope.
CQB work is Eotech all the way. I have the EXPS2 now and love it, but they are all great.

If you can afford a NFA trust and suppressor then you can afford a used ACOG

I bought my TA31F for $700, and a TA01 for $685 NIB

Deals are out there, just be patient.
