Gang,
No luck with the search here. Looking for a bag/case for my nightforce scope (16" +/-, 3.5-15 x 50) for storing my scope in my gear bag when off my gun. Would like soft case, reasonably well fit. Just spoke with Larue and they are in significant back-order with all things nylon. The crooked horn spotting scope case looks huge, as I do not need to have a tripod holder. Anyone have any other suggestions? It's hard to decipher cases for spotting scopes as they are usually listed by brand/model and do not give dimensions. Thanks, Craig |

Sniper,
Yes, I have all the things to do just that. Would still like to see if I have any commercial options. My sewing machine is pretty cheap, and does not do well with closed foam layers. Besides, if I fire up the sewing machine, I might be so guilt ridden I might have to start a mancard thread in GD

Sniper,
Thanks for the tip on google images. Never searched that way before. I did not realize the images would link back to a host location for the product. Did get some ideas. I have a scope coat on a 1.5-5 Leupy that does work well, but I was excited about the larue as it would also hold my sun shade, and have options to molly it to my hunting pack. That is doable myself, now that I think about it. maybe I just need to back-order the Larue, and make something in the interim. I certainly have enough scopes in QD rings to fill up a couple, even if they are a bit large. Thanks, Craig Edit: Hydra, that is what I wanted to buy. Larue this morning said they are just getting to February orders on nylon products. Was hoping to have it before the trips to the ranch coming up soon. |
Wrap it in one of these.
Triad has good stuff. http://www.triadtactical.com/Triad-Padded-Scope-and-Muzzle-Cover.html |

Hydra,
Thank you most kindly. I was sure there were other options out there. It's gonna take me a while to get through all of their stuff, as they have a lot of goodies. Gonna ponder that cover. The ID dimension is gonna be close, for stowing the scope and sunshade but it might work. They appear to be out of the digital pattern, but not a deal breaker for me. Thanks, Craig |
