I have been looking at the M223 by Nikon.
I have also been looking at mounts. The price is high on the LaRue, but it seems to be the one to get. Which one, I do not know, but I plan on calling LaRue soon to find out. One question that I know I have is about keeping the magpul BUIS rear sight.. am I going to be able to.. or no? Other than the scope itself and the mount.. what else do I need to get or need to do? I have been a gun owner for years, but have never purchased, mounted, or sighted in a scope. Scope suggestions will be appreciated.. as well as specific models. I want one fairly powerful, but I do not need to see gnats landing on a target at 2000 yards. hahahaha I was thinking 4-12, or 3-9. I will probably be doing mostly 100 yard shooting, with the occasional 400 yard sessions. It would be nice to find a 600 yard range, and may do so. Thank You! |

Most AR mounts will still fit a Mbus. Yes the LaRue is the best. If you won't be shooting less than 100 yards often then I would go as big as you can afford. I shoot a Leupold 8.5-25 on my 200-600 yard gun and wish I had more. Nikon makes a pretty decent 4-16 I believe. I would look somewhere in that area. |

I really like the Redfield Tac moa 3-9 and the leaupold MK AR 3-9 mil/mil. The redfield is 200 and the leupold is 300-350 depending on the reticle you get. I have both and they both hold zero afetr bouncing around on the fourwheeler all weekend. My daughters like the redfield best so I'm looking for another one tp go on a Mossberg MVP.
As for the mount I like the Burris PEPR quik release for the price and it does return to zero pretty well. |
