I don’t want to spend more than $200 but I want a good reliable and versatile red dot. I would like to be able to put it on a shotgun to go turkey hunting and then move it back over to my AR15. I have no military training and if the SHTF I am not sure that a $400 red dot is going to make the difference between life and death for someone of my experience and skill level. My AR15 is a plinking gun once a month or so and I want to take it out and try to drop some yotes from time to time.
With all of that said what would you recommend in the way of an optic? Have researched the Bushnell TRS-25 ($85), Vortex StrikeFire ($169), and the Vortex Sparc ($199) and am wondering how these stack up or if there are some other optics I should look at. I would like a lower 1/3 cowitness if that makes a difference at this point. Thank you for your help as I am new to all of this and trying to soak it all in which can be overwhelming at times. |

Bushnell TRS-25. Problem solved. Add a high UTG riser to use with your AR and then you can take the optic off and attach it to your turkey gun. IMO the best value in budget optics hands down. |
