Hello All,

I have a S&W M&P AR-15 Tactical 2nd generation which comes with the magpul sights instead of the troy ones. I just purchased an Eotech XPS2-0 and also a Mako 5x Magnifier. Being that my XPS does not come with the QD rail and mounting it directly on the rail of my reciever, I'm not sure what FTS will help line up my Mako magnifier properly with my XPS2.

Could anyone recommend any Flip-To-Side mounts that will work for about $60 or less.

I have found a couple online but not sure if they will work properly shown below. Does anyone have the same setup in which any of these may work?:

This one from longhorntactical has a photo of a magnifier installed on a FTS with an XPS2, but the magnifier does not look properly lined compared to the photo with the EXPS model which has the QD rail already on the Eotech sight. $60:

Here is another one I was looking at on Primary Arms $49:

Finally I also saw another mount on Amazon for $35:

I would really appreciate any information any of you could provide. I also want to make sure the Magnifier will clear the Magpul MBUS rear sight that comes on the AR15 M&P Tactical. Both Eotech XPS2 and Mako 5X Magnifier will be installed directly onto the receiver rail as mentioned.

Should I maybe look into getting a low riser to bring the eotech sight up to the magnifier if none of the FTS will align properly?

Thank you again for any assistance,
Mike

It depends on what you really want. You could get a riser like the LaRue LT110 for your EoTech and get a LaRue LT755 FTS mount for your magnifier. They're not cheap but you would be getting some of the best mounts out there. If you are going the cost effective way, then you just need to Google for a 30 mm FTS mount. I'm sure there are tons of people that make them. I use this type of set up for my duty rifle, but I want products that hold zero. Hope this helps...

Here's a thought, something that doesn't often occur to people nowadays who haven't experienced what customer service used to be. Read some posts & find a vendor who engages regularly with the forum (primary arms) whose catalogue shows how different components fit together (primary arms) and whose dialogue with their customers on this forum shows they'll work to get it right if the first shot misses. I'd suggest you call, I don't know, maybe Primary Arms and explain what you need.

No I don't work for PA just a happy customer.

^ MARSH from primary arms is a great guy.  Go over to Primary Arms forum under the industry section and ask there.
