I was at yard sale today, there was box of miliarty stuff, and I found a rear sight in blue package marked MATECH BUIS.  I paid a $1.00 for the thing. What size front post would I need to use? From I understand, you have to match up front and rear sights?

Do I understand correctly that the Matech BUIS is callibrated for 62 grain ammo?  Seems I
recall hearing that when I got mine in a similar way.

Is a good rear sight to use or should I look at something diffirent.? Do I have to use a front post sight marked "F"?

That's a sweet deal. I love mine. It's worked very well for me for a number of years now.

It is designed to be used on a flat top upper, with an 'F' marked FSB.
They are standard issue for many Army and USMC units on M4's and M16A4's, equipped with ACOGS.

Good sight. They usually run new for about $75 retail, street price about $40.

I'll give you triple what you paid for it!

The MATECH is the only rear sight I use.

I have never had a problem with any of them. You did good.

great sight. I like it way more than magpul buis. You can snap it off ebay for ~35 new.
