I recently purchased a Troy fixed rear sight. Took it out today. It was almost dead on and needed no adjustment. After around 10 shots, it was off to the right. I adjusted it. Then after a few shots it was off again. I looked at the rear sight, and saw that the screw on the left side was backing out like this

Now I can tighten it down with an allen wrench, and once it gets flush, it will adjust the aperature with an audible click. Should I lock tite this screw in or is it defective? This seems like a part that should not be backing out. I sent Troy an email but who knows how long it will take them to respond with all the madness going on.

ETA: This has not been dropped or banged around. It came out of the package, and onto my rifle. And yes, it is lock tited onto the rail.

Wrap the screw thread in Teflon tape.

Already called. Line busy. Shot them an email.

If teflon tape better in this application than lock tite? I've never had this happen with my Daniel Defense rear sights so I'm a little leery of it right now.
