Hi all-
I just pieced together my first AR15 during this craze and I had a question. I got a Rock River Arms upper here, it’s an Elite CAR UTE2. Elite CAR UTE2 It was the only one left at the gun store, and I was wondering what my options are with the optics/sights for this. It looks like the rear sight is permanently mounted on there, and is too high for an aimpoint/red dot scope. Can I put an A3 carrying handle on it? What about an aimpoint/red dot scope? Recommendations? Sorry if I posted to the wrong section, but I thought it would be best to put this under the optics/sights section. I have a pic I would love to post, but I dont see how to upload it to here. Thanks! |

Yes you can still mount something like an Aimpoint or EoTech on it. I would suggest using a mount that put the rear sight in the bottom 1/3 like the LaRue 139 for aimpoint M2 or M3 sights.
Mounting a magnified scope will be very difficult. If you happen to want a magnified optic, you might have to find a flat top upper receiver to replace your upper receiver.
