Looking for a solid mount for a 6x or more scope for my M400. Don't really want to change the front sight if I don't have to. Any suggestions?

You will not see the front sight at 6x.  Look at the Burris PEPR, the various mounts sold by Primary Arms, LaRue, ADM....

What is your budget?  Do you want quick detach or not?

No quick detach. Didn't know how much if any the F sight would interfere...

I have tried a lot of  1pc scope mounts. RRA, Armalite, Perp, Nikon, Larue and ADM.  I'm in the process of switching all to ADM.  I don't need the QD but I love it in every way and to me worth the extra price over the others.  But I would say for a 6x if watching the budget get any of those others.  Check used on this forum,  lots of people upgrade

I would recommend larue, or adm. If your scope is more then 3x you will never see the site post

I steer clear of ADM on principal. I will take LaRue the original any day.

As far as non-QD mounts go, I have used Armalite, Nikon M-223, and Vortex one piece mounts without issue.  All 3 hold zero just fine.
