Hey guys I'm about to build a .223/5.56 upper using a LAR Grizzly side charge upper, 11.5" barrel, Noveske NSR 11" hand guard I'm leaning more towards a low power 1-4x scope what's a recommended scope for less than 1k.
Here's the rifle it will be swapping uppers with a suppressed 300 BLK sbr.

The SWFA 1-4 fits your criteria, as well as the 1-6 which should be out shortly.  The vortex 1-4 is also in that category.  There are a few  good choices out there.

Not a 1-4x

But a Trijicon TA44SG-10 would be sweet on that setup.

The Trijicon for the 300 BLK or my upper I'm building?  I'm game for for other options also.

I like the new Zeiss Duralyt 1.2-5x36. The non-illuminated version is under $1k. The illuminated version is just over. (I got a dealer sample one from SWFA's Sample List--illuminated for under $1k.)

Nice eye relief and eye box -- much more pleasant to use than the Swarovski 1-6x because of the larger objective.
The 5x is just a bit better than the 4x that 200 yard shots are a lot easier.

The 1.2x is good for me at close range -- you'd have to check to see if the extra magnification is too much for you.

This is labeled as a 1.25-4x20 but the actual low end is 1.5x.
