Hey guys, so I bought my first RDS; an Aimpoint PRO. So far, seems very awesome! I've yet to take it out to the range though. I have a question... when I have the brightness level up (8/9 - sometimes @ 7) I can pickup red "blemishes." They appear as dots in the video. The video didn't pickup the 3rd blemish that I can see with my eye. Is this normal?

Thanks

yes its normal. If you really want to freak out look at the dot with a magnifying glass. It looks like a bunch of little red dot grapes.

Normal, this is why you only turn the brightness up just enough to see the dot. Even in the AZ sun I rarely go past 7.

I had an old Aimpoint at one time I bought used, I can't
remember the model number it had a 10 moa dot in it.
That sight had the best dot in it of any red dot I have ever used
including my comp ML 2, no glare perfect and crisp... I should
have hung on to it for a shotgun sight.

I totally agree, and with a magnifier you can go even lower. I have mine set at 4 and the dot looks perfect while magnified. This is of course with ideal lighting conditions. Also the lower the setting the smaller the dot appears so the magnifier doesn't make the dot look 3X bigger, it actually allows you to make it smaller and more crisp.
