Hello all, first post.

Looking for advice for a gas block height fixed front sight for my new Dpms sporticle. Looking to go with a troy fixed rear, but nothing on their website was listed as being gas block height, that I saw anyway.  I don't want to spend a fortune on it, but I do want something that will last.  Anything I should avoid? Pics always welcome Thanks in advance.

Just to be clear, the rear sight is always the same height. In other words, no one makes rear sights that are compensated for gas block height front sights. You need to look for a front sight that is compensated for mounting on a gas block. YHM (Yankee Hill Machine) makes one.

That's what I meant, just ran my sentences together. I've found the troy rear I want, just would like suggestions on the right height front. I'll look into the YH, thanks.

I use the Armalite fixed front sight on my Armalite M15.  It's not very HSLD, but neither is the rifle.  It's well made, very robust, and just works.

Hi,

If I'm understanding this one correct I think I have the same issue.  I have a Windham AR15 and the gas block is the same height as my hand guard.  I bought a pair of magpul buis thinking they would work fine.  But I'm finding out the hard way.  Would you know where I can get a front sight to match my back?  As far as I can tell they are definitely not the same size.

Thank you
