Can you mix BUIS of different manufacturers?  I like the GG&G MAD rear sight but want the Troy HK style front.  Will this work or will I have excessive elevation issues during sight-in?

Yes you can mix. There is a difference between HK Style and HK(416) height. So keep that in mind when picking your sights. As long as the Troys aren't "Micros" you should be fine.
