New to the AR 223 world . I have my scope dialed in at 200 yrds . How far or what do you guys like to set your iron sights up for , 50 yrds or 100 yrds ? I would think that the iron sights is for close up situations , but if i set up at 50 yards will i be hitting high at 100 yrds ? Thanx for any help

Thank you ! that is awesome info , sooner or later i will know where to find this info and not bug you guys . When you start reading and reading you forget where you found certain info . Thanx again for the link . After reading that it looks like 75-100 yrds might be a happy medium to set up iron sights .

50 yards is about the best zero for irons (and most optics IMHO). ~2"s +/- out to 220 yards. Learn your holds and call it a day.

I agree with this, but for irons you can shoot up to 500 yards with it if you practice enough.
