Does anyone else have a Vortex SPARC? does the LED light housing at the base of ocular view extend into your field of view when you are looking through it? I ordered awhile back while deployed and recently mounted it to my AR and wondering if this is "normal" for this product? I expect to see a perfect circular view when I look through it but due to the LED light housing extended into the field of view that is not the case. it's not alot but when you are looking through a scope it's distracting and does take away some of your limited view. So is this normal for the product or do I have a bad one??

It's normal, just look at the lil red dot when shooting. You won't even notice the housing inside.

Look at the target while shooting, not the dot. Either way, everything else will shadow out.

I have to admit that this bothered me also. I learned to ignore it after  about  the first day with this optic. On the second day the dot started fading in and out on its own and then it quit working all together. I switched the battery and it worked fine until the next time I brought it out and it reapeated this performance. I sent it back to Opticsplanet.. I must have gotten a bad one.

I was having a similar issue with mine, but realized i wasn't tightening the battery cap all the way down. Once i did this, the problem was fixed.

I did the same thing

I did end ordering Bulter Creek #4 Flip Covers for mine, that goofy bikini lens cap got on my nerves.
