Hello ....I am new here but I've been studying up on this website for several months. I thank you all for this chance to participate.
My question....... First I have started to shoot some 3 position 200 yd high power at my gun club. Recently I bought a RRA LAR 15 NM A4 and I have a question about sight aperture. My rifle has the 1/2 x 1/2 x 0.040 rear . Is it possible to switch out the rear aperture for a larger size as needed? The 0.040 works well in bright sunlight but I would like to go larger to possibly 0.050 when needed on the overcast winter days. I guess my 59 yo eyes are beginning to take it's toll. What do you recommend? Thank you for your replies |

See White Oak armament. They can sell you a replacement leaf with screw off hooded apertures in a few sizes. You can just get the leaf (possibly with 1/4min screw), replacing the leaf and screw requires some drift punches, so make sure you've got the tools and you're good to go.
Alternatively (or additionally), Bob Jones has some nice rear sight gear (google it), and also check out the SR Microsight for another good rear-sight option. |
| The rear aperture hood simply screws out on the NM sights. White Oak Armament sells a .46" diameter replacement hood. |
