So I'm still researching what model sight I'm getting but have decided I'm getting a red dot with a magnifier.  Probly a 6x

But my question is say you have a 6x magnifier.  Then a  red dot like vortex spare have 2x with it.
Will they work together or can you only use 1x sights when using magnifier.

Second question.  If they can be used anybody know what resulting magnification would be.  Would it be 12x?

I'm getting one of those side flip mounts for the magnifier.

But gotta figure this out before can narrow down the list of sights

Just wanna make sure I understand you correctly.

You decided that you want a 6x magnifier.

You want a Vortex SPARC.

You want that mount the 6x magnifier behind the SPARC using a 'Flip To Side Magnifier'.

Here is where I think you are having the problem. The 2x magnifier that comes with the Vortex SPARC will not be of any use with this combination in ANY way, shape or form.

Don't even consider the supplied Vortex 2x magnifier of any use if you want to buy a 6x magnifier. Mount the 6x magnifier in your 'Flip To Side Mount' right behind the Vortex SPARC and that is all you'll need.

Im kinda of brainstorming what I want.

I want red dot just to aim quicker,  but also want a little magnification for 100 yard+ targets at range.  I cant really see them when they get that far with iron sights

Im now thinking that getting just a red dot and a rifle scope and then getting a Larue quick release mounts.

I realized tonight after a trip to range,  I like shooting with iron sights and scopes and the red dot sight was fun to.

Seems like this may be best way to go
