I've got a RRA LAR8. 16" Mid-Length carbine. Intended use is primarily hunting.
Want to put a Nikon Buckmasters Rifle Scope 6-18x 40mm Side Focus Mil-Dot  scope on it.
What mounts do I need/want? I have a riser on the rail already with a POS scope.
What sez the hive?
Oh, and hurry, going to place an order tomorrow!
Thanx

Since you are likely never going to need QD mounts, I would lean towards the Burris P.E.P.R mount.  I think a $200 LaRue mount might be a little overkill on a 350 dollar scope.  You shouldn't need a riser with the PEPR.

I use that exact scope on my AR-10.  Since I didn't need QD capability, I went with a Nikon M-223 mount.  Works very well and the price was right.

Check out the Vortex Optics Cantilever mount. You can find it for $89.99 online.

Great suggestions all!

I'm leaning towards the Nikon.

Is the one in your pic the M-223 or is it the M-223 XR?

You've all been a great help
