I have read some place that the Vortex SPARC can be mounted the same as a AIMPOINT T1. I want to mount this on an AK 47 10/63 on a front quad rail AND still utilize my irons (co-witness). I have seen that MIDWEST and others offer such a quad rail with specific mounts for the T1. I can't afford to buy and find out later that I was wrong. Anyone with real experience with this topic please respond.
ETA: After looking all over and calling MIDWAY, while talking to one of their agents, I found this by chance; (Beware, on their site, MI claims it will not co-witness, I will call tomorrow to find out exactly why) solution The same for this one http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=421 So the issue for no co-witness is because where Vortex has mounted the led is at the 6 O'clock position. This in turn, covers up the sights just enough to not be able to CW. According to Vortex, they are aware of the situation. Now remember, this sight was originally built for an AR platform, no problems with CW there. Maybe they will make a adjustment that will cover AR and AK alike? I don't know, it would help them financially and we as users of their product. Only time will tell...... I hope this will help someone else out with the same or similar issue.
