If I were to mount one backwards do you think it would stay up under the recoil of a lightweight 6.8 sbr?

My buddy runs one of the regular KAC taupe front flip up backwards on a 5.56 14.5inch, and it stays up fine. I know that's not exactly what you have, but how much worse is the recoil on a 6.8? (I've never shot one)

You mean backwards as in the way a SCAR folding sight flips up?
It has a detent so it should move unless you actually fold it...
