Please forgive an optics newbie, but what mount is needed to give an absolute co-witness with an EOTech 512? Is a separate mount needed or does it co-witness out of the box?

The optic in question is a 512 mounting on a BCM flattop upper.

None. The 512 is already at absolute cowitness height.

To echo the others you have a full/absolute co-witness with your current setup, if you find that the irons are too much of an obstruction you can always mount your 512 on something like the Yankee Hill YMH-220 or LaRue LT110 riser, this will give you a lower 1/3 co witness where the irons appear at the very bottom of the viewing window on the 512.

Thanks for the help. I'm trying to decide between the 512 and Aimpoint PRO.
