So I am trying to figure out an optic setup for my SGL-21. I am considering the TWS dogleg rail, Gen II. My old man has a Vortex Sparc and it seems like a great little optic for the money. I understand that due to where the diode is in the Sparc, I won't be able to co-witness. No biggie. But...I want a low height, throw lever mount so I can dump the optic and run irons in a hurry if the optic goes down for some reason. All the aimpoint throw-lever mounts I see are tall for co-wintessing with AR sights. Too tall for a proper cheek weld on an AK stock, right? Anything out there that I am missing?
Thanks in advance. |

Maybe consider this instead of the TWS. Not quite as low as the Dog Leg, but it's still pretty low, excellent quality, and it can be off the rifle in seconds. http://www.midwestindustriesinc.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=category.display&category_id=433 |
