swfa has a sale on doctor red dots.
my choice is doctor or burris fastfire II. Burris comes with mount and is $40 cheaper at $210...thoughts? anyone use both? |

When I was looking at these some reviews said the Docter's auto brightness was better than the fast fire II. The fast fire kind of hunted for the right brightness when moving from a well lit room into a dark one but I never handled one so I can't speak from experience.
I did buy the Docter and auto brightness works perfect from a well lit area to a dark one in my opinion and the battery is still going strong after close to 2 years. |
| I use Docters on my work guns and both on my recreational guns. Both work equally well in my experience, I find the actual dot in the Burris slightly better defined and it has an on/off switch, whereas the Docter is permanently on (but then you won't forget it). Work gun, I would go with Docter, fun gun I would go with the better value of the Burris.. |
