In reference to the LaRue and ADM EOTech riser mounts, why do they raise the area for the magnifier even more?

If you were to mount a non-raised base EOTech on that, along with a G23 magnifier, they would be out of alignment, no?

Does anyone sell one without the extra riser? My magnifier is already too high for my EOTech, so I would like to push the EOTech up and keep the magnifier where it is.

I'm quite sure LaRue offers a mount for the magnifier that works with the step-up on the riser.

*edit:

I don't know which mount works but it seems to me it ends up being a little higher than it should be but works out anyway.

The step is made for this: http://www.laruetactical.com/larue-tactical-pvs-14-mount-qd-lt133

The hump on the EOTech riser is made for the PVS-14 and the non-FTS magnifier mount.  The YHM EOTech riser does not have the hump.
