I recently bought an AR 15 with no frills due to the economy. I didn't realize the AR 15 did not have a back site. The picture does not show it but behind the handguard I have a ribbed charge handle. Is there a back site that mounts to charging handles? Because I am on a budget I did not go with any rails or quad floating guard

The rear sight attaches to the rail at the rear of the upper receiver. Basically it attaches to the top of the receiver above the charging handle.

If you google pics of AR-15s you'll see MANY pics. You could google the term "rear buis" and you'll get many examples. BUIS = Back Up Iron Sight.

Would you believe I could not find anything less than $ 60. The reason I want something so cheap is the guy who bought the gun is going to put some nice optics later. A back Iron site should not be more than $ 25 dollars. At least I know who is making money in this economy and i am in the construction biz and it isnt us.

I'm willing to pay for a quality sight.

You could look up leapers or UTG if you want chicom junk.

You must have not read the post it is a temp site he is going to put nice optics later. So I bought the Chicom junk for $25 makes more sense if he is buying $ 300 optics later.
It's not chicom junk it is we are being screwed by USA manufacturers.

Compare that to even an MBUS and you'll see that there is a definite difference between a $25 UTG and a higher-dollar sight.
