[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Aimpoint CompM4 red dot scope

I have purchased a Aimpoint CompM4 red dot optic recently and I like everything about it and what I read about it. But I notice when I start to move my head up or down while still looking through the optic I get a light red outline on the bottom half or top half of the optic ring. Kind of in a half moon shape following the perimiter of the glass on the optic. Is this normal?

It's not real bad but with my Eotech's I can move my head with out noticing this.

Did you try reducing the dot's brightness?

Yup. turn the brightness down.

Perfectly normal. As already mentioned the brightness is too high.
