Does anyone know when Trijicon started putting these on the ACOGS? Also does anyone know what they mean, My QR code reader can't read it.

It shows the Serial and Model when you bring it up. Its a Data Matrix two-dimensional barcode, which may be why your QR scanner cannot read it, as some won't read Data Matrix.

Should read - "679250TA31ECOS" if it were a TA31ECOS, and so forth. As for when they started putting them on the ACOG, I'm not totally sure.

Called Trijicon and the nice lady told me that select models started getting the QR codes in 2007. The rest of the models started getting them in 2008!

This.

Data Matrix and QR codes, while similar looking, are different things.

Military IUIDs use data matricies as a part of a program to streamline the supply system and inventorying, hence the IUID stickers used on most military hardware these days.

Augee is right - that is most likely a IUID code, and what he says about their use is correct (I work with IUID in my job with the Navy).
