I know it's for the anti overtightening spline in the shaft but I don't intend on overtightening that part any more than the rest of the bolts and screws on my gun. I was thinking of taking a hacksaw and grinder to it and maybe cutting a notch in the amputated stump to fit a dime for tightning.  Has anyone ever cut or ground their's off?
