The tighnening knob on my QRP is ridiculously long. It looks like and could double as a charging handle on a Browning 30cal. heavy MG and jams into my left wrist when I'm carrying my carbine gripping the delta ring plus the M3 is heavy enough without this stupid chunk of hardware.
I know it's for the anti overtightening spline in the shaft but I don't intend on overtightening that part any more than the rest of the bolts and screws on my gun. I was thinking of taking a hacksaw and grinder to it and maybe cutting a notch in the amputated stump to fit a dime for tightning. Has anyone ever cut or ground their's off? |
