I just got a LWRCi SPR . I want to put a optic on it but don't know alot about this . I like to try and do things once and try to get the best the first time .
I have an Eotech on my H&K USC and love it . The only problem is at distance the dot starts covering the target and its impossible to place the round exactly .
Should I have an Acog or Aimpoint for distance and something else (possibly Eotech) for close up . I also see those little sights added to Acogs for close up stuff . I am guessing there is no one sight that can do it all (up close and far away) .
I don't have any experience with Aimpoint although I do know they are good . I am thinking about putting a Micro T on my Benelli M4 .

Any and all suggestions or advice (hopefully unbiased) would be awesome .

If you think the dot for the EOTech is too large then you are going to think that the dot for the Aimpoint is too large.  I owned an EOTech 512 and currently own an Aimpoint PRO and an ACOG TA31.  When I was using the EOTech I was also running the magnifier behind it which helped at distance but like you said the dot does cover some of the target.  However, if you are looking for a red dot type optic (battery powered) EOTech's 1MOA is as small as it gets.  I think you should go with the ACOG with the cheveron.  The point is very precise and can be used much more effectively at range.

All EOTech aiming dots are 1 MOA which is as small as they get!  We do our quals out at 100 yards and no issues for me!

Try turning the brightness down as much as you can, it helps for me. If it's turned up too much they tend to pixilate covering even more of the target.

I think the first Aimpoint (Comp M) was a 1, or 2 MOA.

Check out the compact ACOGs. 1.5x gives you a little more. The triangle version
can reach out far if needed.
