Stepson wants me to build him an FAL. That's no problem, have all the tools and have built quite a few.
He wants to top it off with a .308 cammed ACOG. He is leaning towards the 3.5 powered model. Is there a big enough difference in the models to warrant getting one over the others? I know very little about ACOGs. I have one on my midlength 5.56 1/7 rifle and love it. Thanks for any help. |

I had a TA11 on a DSA FAL and it was a challenge to keep that FAL recoil off of my eye....IMO, the FAL is more geared toward a red dot sight, like I said IMO. I took the TA11 off, added an Aimpoint and this became a fun gun to shoot....If you want magnification, look at the USOptics SN-12, 4x magnification, good eye relief, outstanding US Optics glass, about the same price as an ACOG.
