2 MOA M3.  More mount choices and is smaller than the M4 series.

LT-150 and LT-129 will give you a lower 1/3 cowitness.

Look at the Aimpoint PRO, 2 MOA & NV compatible and they're about $400.  LaRue sells them with your choice of mounts as a combo deal, not for $400, but still a great deal.   I have a Comp ml3 in a LT-150 on an 16" AR & a PRO on my PS, both are nice, but with the NV and I think a longer batter life (IIRC) the nod goes to the PRO.  I'm gonna swap them one day...

Yep, I can't think of a real reason NOT to go with the PRO over the M3.
If you don't mind me asking, why not the micro sites? Because of the 4MOA dot? If it makes any difference, it's actually less (3.4 or 3.6, I forget which), and when turned down in brightness, it becomes effectively smaller. I just think the smallness, the lightness, and simplicity of the micro sites make them the best that Aimpoint has to offer. Mind you, I'm not trying to convince you to get one or derail the thread. Just curious.
+1 for the PRO

I have had an M3 and sold it like an idiot. I just got approved to carry my rifle on duty so I wanted another red dot.

After comparing the PRO and M3, and talking to some people from Larue, I went with the PRO. It has the same housing as the M3. I put the M3 rubber sleeve on it and I can't tell the difference between the two. I am glad I went with the PRO.

If you've been using an EOTech, I don't know that you'll ever be happy with any Comp model. I used them for years, but when I switched to an EOTech it was so much quicker it was like finding another gear. Have you tried one first to see if you like it? I actually like the Micros quite a bit better than the Comp series, but I still prefer the EOTech. YMMV.
