Cabelas is showing a new laser bore sight device.  The device is made by LaserLyte and loads in the chamber like a live round.  Has anyone had any experience with this type bore sight device?

I have a similar type bore sight made by Alpec. Bought it years ago when lasers were "exotic", and paid over a $100 for it.

It's indispensable when mounting a scope or HWS type optical device. I can do a rough "zero" across an open space in my loft and when I get to the range, it usually only takes a couple of rounds to finish the zeroing process.

My friends love it as well. Worth the investment.

Yeah, I bought the Sightmark, it works pretty good in low light, to get on paper, saving me a bit of ammo. Not so good in bright light, and eats batteries pretty quick. Also tricky to use when bore sighting red dot sights, as they are the same color. YMMV

I had a sightmark, I didn't find it any better than old school bore sighting with my eye... you know taking the bcg out and looking at a point on the target and lining that up with the scope reticle.

The best thing about old school bore sighting is that it doesn't require batteries or cost anything.
