i am looking for a red dot with adjustable magnification if possable. that will either mount well on top of my carry handle or sight rail. my price range is around 200. please help

The red dot scopes I know of that have variable zoom are actually scopes like IOR Valdada's 1-3x Red Dot Scope. However, those are much more than $200. For that price range, I would suggest the Vortex Strikefire or SPARC.

I'd agree with the SPARC - great optic for the price, and comes with a choice of mounts and a detachable 2x doubler.
