Yes.

Painted several entirely except for the lenses (der), the buttons and the S/N.

Yes, I Duracoated one hood in FDE, and did the hood/battery cover in camo on a hunting gun...

I was under the impression that removing the hood voids the warranty.

Can anyone confirm or shed some light on this?

As you can see, I do the hood and the battery cover. This looks good, and keeps the finish away from the rubber covered buttons. Organic solvents and rubber do not mix well. Also, it saves a ton of masking work that would be very difficult to get perfect, and I don't have to worry about customers assuming I damaged their EOTech of it stops working someday. (I was once suspected of disassembling a Ziess scope when the customer had a gunsmith mount it after I finished it, and the elevation could not be adjusted. It turned out the rings were torqued down way to tight.)

I also hit the hood screws, to prevent rust.

One more thing - I remove the laser warning sticker and then replace it after the hood is finished if the customer prefers.
