Beyond the price, what is the difference between the Aimpoint ML2 and ML3?

I am thinking of getting one soon.

Battery life is 50,000 hours on the 3 vs. 10,000 hours on the 2.

Also, the 3 offers you a choice between a 2 MOA or 4 MOA dot; the ML2 is 4 MOA only.

Correct. Those are the only differences. ML3 has 5X the battery life and choice of dot sizes.

Selectable via switch, or selectable when you order?

spend the extra money and get a 2MOA ML3, it's worth it.

Spend a little extra cash for the ML3.  It has the same specs as the M3 sans the NV settings.

I'm very happy with my ML3, although the Comp C3 is a good value too.

It's an ML3 with less water resistance no rubber cover.  If you don't go scuba diving with it, you'll be fine.

Or, check out the Aimpoint PRO.

Honestly If I were you I would get teh PRO. Call me a PRO fanboy, but.

The PRO comes with $150 worth of extras, and 30,000hour battery life, and night vision settings for $400. You cannot beat that. The ML2 and ML3 will be more expensive and will not come with a QD mount or see through rear flip up cover.
