Im looking for Leupold scope for my 7.62x39 ar15 and im looking to spend up to $400 at the most. I have been looking at their ar platform scopes and was thinking of having them calibrate their .223 scope for the 7.62 caliber. My only thought is if i have it specially calibrated for my caliber is if i ever sell my gun, the scope is worthless on anything else. My other thoughts were to just get a standard platform scope so i can use on any rifle if i choose to. I was thinking of the 3-9x 40 scope. Im basically looking for a scope for up to 400 yards. There are so many different models i was wondering if anyone had any opinions or have used any of their scopes. Also what do you guys prefer, the duplex or mil dot? Any advice would be appriciated
