I would like a compact of quality and like the idea of the N.F.
At 10x max and 32 mm obj., I would like to hear from users about resolution and dim conditions.
Also it seems the NPR2 is more coarse than the popular NPR1. Any preference. I am not ia tactical  shooter, varmint and paper is my thing.

I have the 2.5-10x32 with mildot, mil knobs and zero stop. It's an awesome little scope and I can usually pick out things that lesser scopes need to be at 15x plus to see.

It picks up light really well and have used it on several evening/morning hog hunts.

My only complaints with it are that the reticle is a little fine and is hard to pick up fast at times and the illumination doesn't go as low as I would like for hunting at dusk/dark. If they could ditch the brightest 3-4 settings and add them on the low end it would be perfect.

The resolution is outstanding! I have a U.S. Optics and when you put them side by side the resolution on the nightforce really stands out.

I was also worried about the light gathering capabilities of the 32mm bell but I tested it against my U.S. Optics and Nightforce 5.5X22 with the 56mm objective at night. With the incredible contrast in the compact NXS the scopes were very close and hard to tell the difference between them in picking up dimly lit objects at a distance. This surprised me as I thought the Nighforce 56mm would be much better than the other two scopes and the USOs 44mm would be better than the Compact NXS. The truth is both the bigger objectives only made a very minute difference in what kind of light and clarity I could see but it was true the bigger the bell the more I could slightly make out. I quess with high quality glass there really is only are small differences in the capabilities.

If resolution and dim conditions are your only concern left with the compact NXS then buy with confidence knowing that this is a great scope.
