[ARCHIVED THREAD] - SSALT mount

Has anyone had issues trying to get a scope to stay tight using this mount? I bought one a few months ago and I can't get the scope to stop sliding in the mounts. I have tightened the scope to 15 Inch
Pounds but the damn thing won't stay put. Any ideas?

Are you using a 30mm mount on a 1" scope? The rings should completely close around the scope.

I have one, i found it impossible to get tight, no matter how tight you have the 1 inch inserts still rotate. Ive tried it on two differnt scopes. I was frustrated with it and just went with an ADM mount

That is exactly why I do not trust inserts. The Nikon M223 is 10x better and has 20 moa built in for about the same price. It is actually manufactured by Warne.

This is the exact problem I'm having I'm using the 1" inserts on a 1" scope
