So I built my 6.5Grendel and put my VIper (44mm) on with a cheap CAA mount that I had. It works, but the bottom of my bell is at least 3/4" above the handguard. It works ok for the cheek weld and such, but I'm thinking that I'm losing adjustment in distance. The Viper has 68moa of adjustment, now  I have not maxed it out yet, but I haven't shot it but to 100yds so far. What is the best way to mount this? Would it be best to get some high rings or ultra high? Would it be better to get a rail and use some low or medium rings that I have already? What are you guys running? I just don't think I want it that high!
Thanks Jason

If you want more adjustment, you can get an EGW or Badger Ordnance 20 MOA rail/riser.  I think a Burris PEPR or Larue one piece scope mount would work better unless you want that extra adjustment.

ok, well I don't think I'll need more adjustment. 68moa is plenty to get a 6.5 out to 1000 which I'll probably never shoot. 600yds is probably about as far as I'll go as I don't have a place to go farther!
