Does anyone know of a website that I can purchase an Acog style scope without busting my bank account.?
Thanks?

Buy once, cry once. Get the real deal.

ETA: Bushnell makes an ACOG style red dot but I have not seen or heard any good reviews. I also recommend avoiding the Chicom knock offs. The quality just isn't there.

I have read many good things about the Lucid HD7 (?).

IMO the Chinese scope builders spent more money on making it "look" quality than actually building quality in.

Just watch.. the Lucid is probably Chinese

One more thing..
Watch Gunbroker like a hawk.
I passed on a brand new ACOG for just over $500 because it was 1.5 power not the 3 plus I was looking for.
Should have grabbed it anyhow.

most of the ACOG clones are just red dot sight.... then why dont you buy a quality red dot?

if you want an ACOG with magnification then save until you can get a real one...keep your eyes open on the EE....sometimes you can find some good deal.... I got a used TA01NSN last year for less than $500

Ditto.... I have less than $600 in either my TA01 or the TA31F. Both were traded for, used w/ all of the accessories and boxes and couldnt tell from new ones.

Got a 3x Mini Acog off the EE last week for $550 shipped. Looked as new. Would rather of had lower powered, but for that amount of money I could not pass it up.

May I suggest to start saving and check the EE atleast 3 times a day. I do.

I don't mean to just pile on, but why are people concerned about getting scopes that look like a more expensive scope? You aren't going to get the durability or quality optics in one of those chinese scopes that looks like an ACOG. Why not just buy a quality 1-4 or fixed 4 power scope?

Consider an ACOG (used) or a IOR 3x25 QR-TS.

I have to agree with this one. A look-alike scope offers NONE of the advantages that make the ACOG unique, so why bother?

Sort of like a flat chested chick stuffing her bra...it might look good from a distance but sooner or later the truth will be known, so why bother.

Never buy an optic for it's looks, only function matters.

Man I love your rifle. It really makes me want to sell off my 1-4 and get a mini and carry handle.

Thank you. Kind of enjoying it myself. Tired of rails. The more rail space I have, the more crap I put on them. Swore I was keeping this one simple. I think it's done.

Yep.  I originally wanted a TA31 like the military uses, simply for the look.  The TA33's were what I preferred in use though.

I went with the TA33G-H.  Use what works and what lasts.  Screw appearances.

Well...he didn't explicitly say that.

He said ACOG style, he could have meant just a cheaper magnified compact optic.

Um, when you say ACOG style, do you mean LOOKS like an ACOG? (everyone seems to assume so)

Or do you just mean a fixed power 2x to 5x scope or something?

Because there's the PA 4x, which will come out sometime.

And then there's another cheap range alternative someone suggested on their forum when people couldn't wait for the PA 4x.
