I searched through the archives for an answer and couldn't find anything definite. I'm wondering what bullet weight and velocity a TA11H-G uses. I also looked all over Trijicon's website and found nothing.

IIRC its set up for the M855 round. I could be wrong tho. Someone will show up shortly to put me in my place if I am

62 gr bullet going 3,050

That is incorrect, It is for a 62gr bullet going 2858 fps, The TA11H-M249 is 3050 not the TA11H.

Why Trijicon doesn't post calibration parameters on ALL of the ACOG models on their site is  mystery.

Well looking at the reticule it seems to have a BDC for a M249 if i'm not mistaken (judging by the 800-1000m drops) and they fire M855.

trust me-per trijicon and after playing with loads for 9 months, the TA-11H is set at 62 gr going 3,050.  all of them show the m-249 in the scope itself.

If it uses the SDO reticle than it has aimpoints for both a 19.5" and 14.5" inch barrel guns.

You are not mistaken.

That BDC is great, just as long as you always shoot on 70 degree days and 800 feet above sea level

I would have to look again but I an pretty sure the TFT data used by the military is for 70 degree powder temp, 59 degree air temp and at sea level. But the point is correct that the BDC is only a estimation.

the iron sight calibration on M249's, MK46's and 48's is much better choice, shooters are able to engage targets much faster with irons.  Magnafied optics lead to tunnel vision and missed follow up BOT's

What?  The Marine Corps has found the same shooters were twice as likely to hit a target at an unknown distance when using an ACOG as they were when using irons because no one really dopes sights on IRT the range to target and just uses Kentucky windage and at least with the ACOG they had auto ranging built into the BDC.

We are talking about Machine Gun Optics.  Fire a Burst, lose your target, hunt for 10 seconds thru the magnafied scope while Hadjie skampers away......

Or look thru the irons, see your impacts, adjust fire based on impacts and kill em dead.......

I have fired allot of burst with an ACOG on SAW and M240 and you don't really loose the target.

When its on a mount sure, when your running up the side of a hill with a LW assault machinegun its a different story

It is no worse than using the irons, not to mention when you get beyond 4-500 meters you hold above the target and your front sight obscures the area you are shooting at anyway.

I am not questioning the amount of rounds you have through it or the fact that the website shows two identical reticles, but I work for Trijicon and the engineering spec sheets states 2858 fps using m855. Shoot me a message if you have any questions.
